Street Dance Fest
Dancing in the street; joy is the watchword. Street Dance Fest Alvalade is a festival which brings together dance, exhibitions and street entertainment. Everyone is invited to participate, from art schools and institutions to local artists.

Carolina Cantinho, from the Algarve Dance Company, is the guest coreographer for this show. The starting point are the memories from Olivais, the stories and experiences shared by the community. The play will include all the members from the Company Dança na Comunidade, a project from Corpo de Ensaio Association.

Traditional European Dances
This workshop for dances of traditional European origin explores the repertoire of popular dances that are danced in folk balls At this workshop you’ll learn the dances of France, Ireland, Great Britain, Italy, Greece, Spain, the Baltic States and Central Europe in a simple and fun way.
Traditional Portuguese Dances
At this workshop, we’ll look at the country’s dances from north to south, which vary from region to region, taking us through round dancing, partner dancing and square dancing. Amongst many other dances, we will explore viras, chulas, fandangos, verdegaio, modas cantadas and corridinhos.
