Chapéus na Rua is a street and circus arts festival which, over a few days, will flood the parish of Arroios with jugglers, acrobats, clowns, puppets, living statues and much more than you could possibly imagine! A programme for the whole family which deals with delicate topics lightly.

CRISÁLIDA MasterClass

Guided by the artist and creator of the piece, this masterclass challenges us to reflect on the plurality of a creative process. Aimed at acrobats and onlookers, this meeting proposes new ways of building narratives that have the body as a central element.

COM (SEQUÊNCIA)

A communion between architecture and the circus, with acrobatics and dance as discourse. In this dialogue, we propose to question the idea of “meeting”.

VEJO-TE

Humour, irony, reflection and acrobatics in a family show. The show stems from the idea of putting artists and audiences inside a person's head and using these combined forces as a mechanism to reveal the structure of a person's thought, mind and inner world. The narrative thread is created by a voice-over that represents the reflections and conflicts of our own battles.

CRISÁLIDA

“Crisálida” is a circus project about gender issues. The dialectic of this work is related to the demystification of gender categories, based on the existentialist themes of Nietzche, Sart and Golffman. The creator of this piece is interesting developing ideas such as the being as an individual, the social being and the creation of new concepts that foster the discontinuity of human nature. “Crisálida” is also about love, a hymn to life.
