Accessibility for people with reduced mobility.

Entrada Livre is a thought festival that lasts two days, which will be celebrating this chance to interact with the public once again. At the opening of the 2019/20 season, we’re inviting you all to inhabit this house which belongs to you. And as at any theatre, we suggest that the impossible only appears impossible.

The Elephants’ Walk By Miguel Fragata and Inês Barahona

Over 6s

When the man dies, the elephants set off on a mysterious trek to his home as a final tribute: this wasn’t any man, he was one of them. A performance that reflects on the end, which is a mystery for all of us, children and adults alike.

Capitólio - Parque Mayer

PUR PRÉSENT

5 pm – 8 pm, with two intervals

A French-language show with Portuguese subtitles

Three small tragedies about the world of today, in which the characters challenge themselves to find an answer to the question: how to live with dignity? Comprising three parts, Pur Présent recalls the tragedies of Aeschylus which Olivier Py translated and is now producing after ten years.

Sala Garrett, 8 pm

ANTIGONE

Directed by Mónica Garnel

Based on the text of Antigone, by Sophocles, and a city which is falling sick, this performance goes in search of vertigo, approaching a classic text for its relevance today, on one hand, and its humanity, on the other. Can man change destiny? Should human rights override the rights of the ruling powers? What, then, is justice?

Sala Estúdio, 8 pm

COLEÇÃO DE ARTISTAS, by Raquel André

Is it possible to access an artist through a moment of their artistic creation? To access their story? Coleção de Artistas is a collection that deals with each artist, with their practices and the tools of their trade, as well as their thoughts and biographies.
