An educational and artistic project (promoted by Associação Sons da Lusofonia) with intercultural roots. Over recent years (with the support of the Lisbon Municipal Council’s Culture Department), it has worked with hundreds of youngsters from different backgrounds and neighbourhoods of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.

OPA works towards the construction of a work network between neighbourhoods to provide youngsters with access to artistic tools and practices. It brings together professionals and amateurs and creates opportunities to become involved in the music industry through consistent artistic creation. The project has brought on board youngsters with musical skills, encouraging them to acquire different working methods and giving them the visibility and recognition that they deserve, thereby changing the urban landscape through the presence of new personalities and performances.
