MAAT Mural

Reinterpretation of the Painel do Mercado do Povo (People's Market Panel), a collective mural organised by the Movimento Democrático dos Artistas Plásticos (Democratic Movement of Plastic Artists), which was created on 10 June, 1974. The reinterpretation is part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the 25 April 1974 and will take place in the gardens of MAAT. 48 artists will be taking part, including contributors to the original panel, artists from the exhibition and other prominent figures in the Portuguese art scene during these 48 years of democracy. These artists will be joined by others from the fields of music and performance, in a programme organised by Iminente Festival. On 11 June, there will be visits, conversations and performances in the exhibition venue.
