Meet the jury of the Festas de Lisboa’21 Sardine Contest
To mark the10 years of the Festas de Lisboa’21 Sardine Contest, we’ve invited a special, multidisciplinary jury to select the ten winner sardines
Ten years and 50 thousand sardines later, it’s time to put on your creative hat again for the Festas de Lisboa’21 Sardine Contest. And to mark a decade of healthy competition, we’ll be celebrating how the participative side of things has made this EGEAC-organised contest famous not only in Lisbon, but across the country and a little bit all around the world.
In this anniversary year, we’ve invited a special, multidisciplinary jury who’ll be joining our creative director, Jorge Silva (also known as “father of sardines”). The jury will consist of singer/composer Carolina Deslandes, musician/film director/comic strip writer Filipe Melo, designer/creative director Luís Royal and artist/architect/window dresser Joana Astolfi.
This year there’ll be no honourable mentions; all 10 sardines chosen by the jury will be winners and celebrated under the slogan: “10 years, 10 sardines”. Each of the winners will receive a €1,000 prize, so there’s €10,000 worth of prizes up for grabs!
You can create your sardines individually or jointly, with up to three sardine designs allowed per application. Design entries must be submitted by 18.00 on 24 May and originality really is the most important requirement.
The winners will be announced by 8 June.
