Marcha Populares de Lisboa 2018: Alfama wins

The Marcha de Alfama is the winner of the Popular Marches of Lisbon 2018!
In second place were Bairro Alto and Madragoa in third.

The 23 marches in the competition went down Avenida da Liberdade on the night of Santo António, in a parade that also featured, as usual, with the Children's marches "A Voz do Operário", Mercados, Santa Casa and this year's guest, the March of Vila da Lousã. The Grooms of Santo António also passed along the Avenue, at the end of a day of celebration that began at 11:30 am in the Paços do Concelho.

São Vicente, Alfama, Olivais, Marvila, Ajuda, Lumiar, São Domingos de Benfica, Alcântara, Benfica, Belém, Bairro da Boavista, Madragoa, Mouraria, Bica, Graça, Bela Flor – Campolide, Carnide, Castle, Penha de França, Campo Ourique, Alto do Pina, Bairro Alto and Santa Engrácia were evaluated with a score from 0 to 20 in two moments – at Altice Arena, on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and at Avenida da Liberdade, on the Santo António night – in the categories of Best Choreography, Scenography, Costume Design, Lyrics, Musicality, Original Composition and Avenida Parade.
