Christmas in Lisbon
Here we are in December, month of reflection and sharing. It’s also the month when we combine music and the city’s heritage, including some of Lisbon’s most beautiful churches, lesser-known ones, as well as other places of worship which reflect the city’s cultural diversity.
Over the next few weeks the only difficult thing will be choosing what to see. There’ll be no shortage of options with baroque and contemporary music, traditional and popular songs and gospel. This year, we even have an opera show aimed at youngsters.
Like last year, the Hindu and Ismaili communities will be joining us, alongside a new guest – the Buddhist Union. Because this is the time of year for getting to know each other, but also for sharing experiences. We would therefore like to thank the Hindu Community, the Ismaili Centre and the Buddhist Union for making this cultural exchange possible.
We are also grateful, of course, to the Patriarcado de Lisboa, which has always supported this programme. Year after year, it has helped us to bring diverse and varied music to a growing audience, making its churches available to choirs and orchestras.
Enjoy the concerts and the sharing
