Bright and vibrant. These are probably the adjectives that are most quickly associated with Lisbon in recent years.
But beyond the light and the river, the viewpoints and the monuments, there is another city, more introspective and even clandestine, which hides from our eyes and which we invite to discover in the program Lisboa por Dentro.
Entering the intimacy of the city, exploring unexpected spaces through various cultural proposals that include music, literature, theater, dance, is our proposal for the months of March and April. Opening spaces that are usually off-limits to the public or invading areas that have already been deactivated, we intend to explore the invisible potential that is inherent in the nooks that sustain the city's daily life, as well as the traditions and stories they carry.
In addition to guided tours and artistic shows in unforeseen locations, this program features a program dedicated to them on International Women's Day.
In the year that Lisbon is the Ibero-American Capital of Culture, we look at Latin American women who have distinguished themselves in different artistic domains, starting with a tribute to one in particular: Violeta Parra, singer, composer, poet, artisan, plastic artist and folklorist who, despite his early death, left a huge legacy to Chilean art and culture.
Leave the apathy of the gray months behind and join us on this itinerary that, over the course of a month, treads new paths, through the city and through thought.
